Working Together
Feeling stuck in the same cycle, going through a major life shift, or holding onto self-doubt can be exhausting. You might be dealing with anxiety, low mood, unhelpful coping habits, or a general sense that something just isn’t right. If you're hoping to reconnect with yourself, make sense of your emotions, or strengthen your relationships, I offer support and tools to help you move forward.
In our work together, we’ll focus on making meaningful choices that feel true to who you are and reflect what matters most to you. We’ll go at a pace that feels manageable, and together we’ll explore patterns, build on your strengths, and find practical strategies to help you feel more confident, clear, and grounded.
I aim to offer a comfortable space where you can pause, reflect, and start to move forward with more clarity and energy, even when life feels heavy or uncertain.
My approach blends practical tools with thoughtful reflection, always grounded in curiosity, care, and respect. I use an integrative style, drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Person-centred Therapy. Depending on your needs, I may also include elements of Solution-focused, Mindfulness-based, and Motivational Interviewing approaches.
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), a Registered Counselling Therapist with the College of Counselling Therapists of PEI (CCTPEI), and a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
About Kristen Sherman
Born and raised just north of Toronto, I was always curious about what helps us feel more like ourselves. That curiosity eventually led me to a career in therapy, though it took some time, and lots of different jobs, to realize this was the direction I wanted to take.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years in Asia, travelling and working with kids. I also have a background in writing and marketing, which continues to shape how I think about communication, connection, and clarity in both everyday life and therapy.
Over the years, I’ve supported individuals, couples, and families in a variety of settings. At the Alzheimer Society of PEI, I helped co-develop a counselling therapy program for family and friend caregivers. Since 2022, I’ve been in private practice, offering a warm and supportive space to explore relationship patterns, self-worth, life shifts, and more.
Outside of sessions, I love a good book (non-fiction or a cheesy summer read), listening to podcasts (I’m an Arm Cherry!), daydreaming about future travel, spending time with friends and family, and soaking up time outside whenever I can.
