What to Expect
Working Together
Feeling stuck, going through a major life shift, or living with self-doubt can be exhausting. You may notice stress, anxiety, low mood, unhelpful coping patterns, or tension in work or relationships.
If you are wanting to reconnect with yourself, understand your emotions more clearly, or strengthen your relationships, I offer support and practical tools to help you explore options and move forward.
Therapy focuses on what matters to you. Together we will:
Set meaningful goals and check in on progress
Explore values and how life currently aligns with them
Notice how thoughts and behaviours influence wellbeing
Consider the connection between mind and body
Look at different areas of wellness, including but not limited to social, work, and environment
Sessions are tailored to you and focused on helping you feel steadier, more connected, and more confident in your choices.
I aim to create a comfortable space where there is room to pause, reflect, and move forward with greater clarity and energy.
My work is primarily informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Person-Centred Therapy.
About Kristen Sherman
I offer counselling therapy to support you through work and life pressures, emotional challenges, relationship patterns, and major transitions that can leave you feeling stuck or unsure. Together, we explore what matters to you and practical ways to move forward.
I spent several years in Asia working in teaching, writing, and marketing. These experiences continue to shape how I think about communication, clarity, and connection in therapy.
I’ve also worked in a variety of settings, including co-developing a counselling therapy program for caregivers at the Alzheimer Society of PEI. Since 2022, I’ve been in private practice, supporting people through change, uncertainty, and patterns that no longer fit.
Outside of sessions, I love getting lost in a book (anything from non-fiction to something spooky or a cheesy summer read), listening to podcasts (I’m an Arm Cherry!), crafting, spending time with friends and family, staying active, being outdoors whenever I can, and indulging in good food.
